Teaching and expertise
Margaret Ellison teaches advanced nursing practice and leads the Nursing department within the School of Health Sciences. Her classes focus on clinical reasoning, patient advocacy, and evidence-based care. She helps students move from classroom theory to real-world practice in hospital, community, and long-term care settings.
Before joining Wrenford Polytechnic, Margaret spent years working as a registered nurse in acute care and community health. She has led quality improvement projects in patient safety and care coordination. Her professional background gives her a practical view of what it takes to succeed as a nurse in Ontario today.
