About Douglas Ferreira

Douglas Ferreira is the chair of the Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Technology department in the School of Energy & Applied Engineering at Wrenford Polytechnic.

In this role, Mr. Ferreira oversees the curriculum for both the Mechanical Engineering Technology advanced diploma and the Bachelor of Applied Technology — Advanced Manufacturing program. He works closely with industry partners to ensure that students gain practical, hands-on experience in areas such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems.

Before joining Wrenford Polytechnic, Mr. Ferreira spent many years in the manufacturing sector, holding engineering and management roles with a regional manufacturer. He brings a deep understanding of modern production environments to the classroom and the department.
