About Rebecca Thorne

Rebecca Thorne is the chair of the Mathematics & Sciences department at Wrenford Polytechnic. The department is part of the School of Computing & Academic Studies on the Benchlands Campus. Rebecca leads a team of instructors who teach the core math and science courses that all engineering technology, computing, and health science students need.

Rebecca's background is in applied mathematics and scientific research. She has spent years working with industry partners to make sure the math and science classes at Wrenford match what employers and program managers actually need. Her focus is on making difficult topics clear and useful for students who are training for hands-on careers.

Students can contact Rebecca about department course changes, math and science placement questions, or academic concerns that have not been resolved with their instructor. She also oversees the math tutoring resources available through the Falls Library & Learning Commons.
