Introduction to chemical principles governing water quality, pH balance, and basic treatment processes in environmental systems.
Course overview
This course introduces the chemical principles that govern water quality, pH balance, and basic treatment processes in environmental systems. You will learn how to analyse water samples, understand contaminant behaviour, and apply chemical treatment methods used in real-world environmental management.
Classes take place in the Escarpment Building, where you will gain hands-on experience in the laboratory. The course is designed for students who need a strong foundation in chemistry before advancing to more complex water treatment and environmental regulatory studies.
Who takes this course
This course is part of the Environmental Technology program at Wrenford Polytechnic.
