Program Description
Technical overview of television studio operations, transmission protocols, and live switching environments.
About this course
VIDP 2680 looks at the technology that makes live television possible. You will learn how a studio is wired, how signals move between the camera, the control room, and the transmitter, and how a technical team works together to keep a broadcast running smoothly.
The course covers the layout of a broadcast facility, the role of the technical director, and the basics of audio-video routing. You will spend most of your time in the lab operating switchers and managing signal flow for simulated live events.
