Critical appraisal of evidence-based practice and introduction to research design in healthcare.
About this course
NURS 1570 Nursing Research Methods introduces the principles of evidence-based practice in health care. You will learn how to find, read, and evaluate research studies so you can use the best available evidence in your clinical work. The course focuses on critical appraisal, helping you separate strong research from weak evidence.
You will explore basic research design, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches, and see how these methods apply to nursing and health care settings. By the end of the term, you will be able to formulate a clinical question, search for relevant literature, and summarize your findings in a clear, practical report.
