Exploration of specialized radiographic projections and advanced imaging modalities for complex diagnostics.
Course overview
MRAD 2100 Advanced Imaging Techniques explores specialized radiographic projections and advanced imaging modalities for complex diagnostics. You will move beyond standard views to learn how to image difficult anatomical structures and pathological conditions. The course covers the principles behind computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and fluoroscopy, focusing on when and how to apply these tools effectively.
Hands-on sessions in the simulation labs at the Corvid Hall allow you to practice positioning and technical adjustments in a controlled environment. You will learn to identify and correct common image artifacts and ensure that every image meets professional quality standards while keeping patient dose as low as reasonably achievable.
