Program Description
Study of X-ray production, image formation, and equipment operation in diagnostic radiography.
About this course
Medical Imaging Physics provides the foundational science behind diagnostic radiography. You will explore how X-rays are generated, how they interact with human tissue, and how these interactions create the images used for clinical diagnosis. The course covers the physics of image formation, equipment operation, and the critical role of radiation safety in a clinical setting.
Through a combination of lectures and laboratory sessions, you will gain the technical knowledge required to operate imaging equipment safely and effectively. This course is a core requirement for students entering the diagnostic imaging stream.
