Program Description
Introduction to robotic arm kinematics, programming, and integration into manufacturing cells.
About the course
This course introduces the principles of industrial robotics used in modern manufacturing. You will learn how robotic arms move, how to program them for specific tasks, and how to fit them into a production line. The focus is on practical skills you can use on the shop floor.
You will work with robotic controllers, teach pendants, and simulation tools. Safety is a major part of the course. You will practice lockout/tagout procedures and learn how to work safely around moving machinery.
Who takes this course
This course is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician program.
Credits: 3 · Hours: 45
