Covers advanced measurement techniques, gauge selection, and error analysis for high-precision manufacturing contexts.
About this course
Precision Metrology focuses on the science and practice of accurate measurement in industrial settings. You will learn how to select the right tools for the job, from basic hand gauges to advanced electronic measuring devices. The course places a strong emphasis on understanding measurement uncertainty and how to minimise error in high-precision manufacturing environments.
You will spend time in the labs of the Tamarack Building using equipment that mirrors what you will encounter in the workplace. The curriculum covers statistical process control, geometric dimensioning, and the calibration of instruments to ensure they meet industry standards.
Who takes this course
