Fundamentals of orthographic projection, dimensioning, and tolerancing according to Canadian Standards Association guidelines.
About this course
This course introduces the core principles of technical communication through drawing. You will learn how to create and read engineering drawings that meet Canadian Standards Association guidelines. The focus is on clarity, precision, and standard practices used in manufacturing and engineering environments.
You will practice orthographic projection, dimensioning, and tolerancing through a mix of hand-drafting exercises and computer-aided design (CAD) labs. By the end of the term, you will be able to produce professional-quality drawings that clearly communicate design intent.
