Wrenford Polytechnic launches new Data Analytics graduate certificate

Program designed for working professionals

Wrenford Polytechnic has announced a new Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics. The program is designed for students who already hold a diploma or degree and want to build advanced skills in data management and visualisation.

The curriculum blends technical training with business strategy. Students learn to clean, analyse and interpret large data sets. The program also covers communication skills so graduates can present findings clearly to stakeholders.

Dean Martin Ostrowski of the School of Computing & Academic Studies said the program responds to demand from local employers. He noted that many professionals are already working in fields like marketing, healthcare or finance and need data skills to move forward in their careers.

"The Data Analytics graduate certificate gives students the tools to turn raw data into actionable business insights," Ostrowski said. "We designed it to be practical and directly applicable to the workplace."

Hybrid delivery and co-op option

The program runs for one year across two terms. It uses a hybrid delivery model. Students attend some classes on the Benchlands Campus and complete other work online. This structure allows working professionals to keep their jobs while studying.

The program also includes a co-op work term. Students complete a placement with a partner organisation. This provides real-world experience and helps students build a professional network before graduation.

Admissions and fees

Domestic applicants must hold an Ontario College Diploma or equivalent. International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements. The program starts in September 2026 and January 2027.

Tuition for the 2026–27 academic year is $4,680 for domestic students. International students pay $18,900. Fees are due before the term starts.

Applicants can apply through the provincial college application service for fall intake. International students use the polytechnic's own application form. For more information, visit the Data Analytics program page or contact Admissions.
