International student visa support hours extended during peak season

Extended support for visa applications

The International office is increasing its staffing levels to assist international students with visa and application processing during the late summer peak. These extended hours run through the end of August 2026, giving applicants more time to submit documents and receive guidance on their study permits.

International applicants must apply directly through the polytechnic rather than through the provincial college application service. This direct route requires careful attention to detail when uploading official transcripts, proof of English proficiency, and financial support documents.

Staff in Hollis Hall, Room 310 are available to review application packages before submission. The office also provides one-on-one advising sessions for students who need help understanding study permit requirements or maintaining their status once they arrive in Canada.

The International office can be reached at 519-555-0174, or by emailing [email protected]. Students are encouraged to book an appointment in advance to ensure a staff member is available to assist with their specific questions.

For domestic students, the provincial college application service remains the primary portal for full-time program applications. Those students should continue to follow the standard admission timelines and equal consideration deadlines.

New international students should also review the arrival information and airport pickup services available before their term begins in September. Early preparation helps reduce stress and ensures a smooth start to the academic year.
