Fitness centre introduces new equipment for strength training

Upgraded machines arrive at the Kestrel Centre

Wrenford Polytechnic students now have access to a fresh set of strength training equipment in the Kestrel Centre fitness area. The new machines were installed last week as part of the Athletics department's ongoing effort to keep campus facilities up to date.

The additions include adjustable weight benches, a cable crossover station, and a new selectorized strength stack. These machines complement the existing cardio and free-weight areas on the main floor.

"We heard from students that they wanted more variety in the strength training section," said Sylvie Laframboise, Vice-President, Students. "Adding these machines gives people more choices for their workouts without having to wait for equipment."

The Kestrel Centre gymnasium and fitness centre are open to all enrolled students during regular term hours. Students who want to use the strength area should bring their student card for entry.

The Athletics department reminds users to follow proper etiquette in the gym. This includes re-racking weights, wiping down machines after use, and asking staff for help with unfamiliar equipment.

Students who have questions about fitness centre access or want to learn how to use the new machines safely can visit the Athletics office in the Kestrel Centre or call 519-555-0179.
