Student Union Building food hall introduces new healthy options

New choices for a busy campus

The food hall in the Student Union Building is adding new menu items focused on nutrition and fresh ingredients, starting next week. The expansion responds to feedback from students who wanted more balanced options alongside the existing popular fare.

Food Services has worked with campus nutritionists to develop a line of salads, grain bowls, and wrap options that use locally sourced produce where possible. The new items will be clearly marked in the dining area and on the menu boards so students can easily identify them.

"We heard from students that they wanted more variety and healthier choices that still fit a busy student schedule," said the Food Services manager. "These new options are designed to be quick, affordable, and satisfying."

Alongside the new menu items, the food hall is also introducing a new digital ordering system. Students will be able to place orders through the myWrenford portal and pick them up at a dedicated window to avoid lines during peak hours between classes.

The changes are part of a broader effort to improve campus dining. The food hall is located in the Student Union Building on the Benchlands Campus and serves students across both the Benchlands and Mercer Street campuses.

Students can view the full menu and ordering hours on the Food Services page. Feedback on the new items can be submitted through the food safety and feedback form.
