Kestrel Centre gym adds new cardio equipment for student wellness

Upgrades at the Kestrel Centre

Wrenford Polytechnic has installed a new set of cardio machines in the Kestrel Centre fitness centre on the Benchlands Campus. The equipment is available to all students, staff, and faculty with a valid campus card.

The new treadmills and elliptical trainers replace units that had reached the end of their service life. The upgrade is part of a wider effort to keep the campus recreation facilities safe and modern for the community.

Who can use the gym

The Kestrel Centre fitness centre is open to anyone with a student, staff, or faculty ID. Students can book a session online or walk in if space is available. The athletics office recommends checking the Kestrel Centre hours before you head over.

Student reaction

Current students have welcomed the changes. Sofia Lindqvist, a member of the School of Business & Media, said the new machines make the gym a better place to spend a break between classes.

"The old treadmills were fine, but these new ones feel much smoother. It makes it easier to clear my head before an exam."

The athletics department also encourages students to check out the fitness centre rules page for the latest guidelines on equipment use and booking.

The Kestrel Centre is located on the Benchlands Campus at 1500 Benchlands Drive. For more information about athletics and recreation at Wrenford Polytechnic, visit the Athletics & Recreation page.
