Ethan designs winning exhibit at regional art show

Student wins best in show

Ethan, a Graphic & Interactive Design student, has taken home the best in show award at the regional art show for his digital illustration portfolio. The portfolio, which features a series of vibrant, character-driven illustrations, was selected from dozens of submissions by a panel of industry professionals.

Ethan's work stood out for its creative use of colour and narrative depth. The judges praised his ability to blend traditional storytelling techniques with modern digital tools, noting that his portfolio demonstrated a professional level of skill and readiness for the industry.

"I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received at Wrenford Polytechnic," Ethan said. "The feedback from my instructors in the Digital Media & Design department has been invaluable in helping me refine my style and prepare this work for public exhibition."

The Graphic & Interactive Design program, housed in the Market Square Studios on the Mercer Street Campus, provides students with access to state-of-the-art design software and a collaborative studio environment. The program's curriculum emphasizes both technical proficiency and creative development, preparing graduates for careers in graphic design, user experience, and digital media.

Ethan's achievement highlights the strength of the School of Business & Media's design programs and the dedication of its students. His work will now be featured in a touring exhibition that will visit several community centres across the province over the next six months.
