Winter Orientation

Welcome back

Winter Orientation is your chance to get settled before classes start on January 11. Whether you are returning for another term or joining us for the first time, this session gives you the information you need to start the Winter 2027 term with confidence.

Who should attend

All full-time students are encouraged to attend. Part-time students and those in Continuing Education courses can drop in at any time during the session. If you have not yet completed your course registration, bring your student card and a list of courses you want to take.

What to expect

The morning covers the essentials: how to use the student portal, where to find your classrooms, and how to access campus services. The afternoon is open for one-on-one advising, campus tours, and visits to the Falls Library & Learning Commons, the Kestrel Centre, and the Student Union Building.

Key sessions

  • 9:00 a.m.: Welcome and campus overview (Hollis Hall, Main Atrium)
  • 10:00 a.m.: Registering for courses and financial aid updates
  • 11:00 a.m.: Campus tours and food hall drop-in
  • 1:00 p.m.: One-on-one advising and resource fair

Accessibility

Hollis Hall is fully accessible. If you require specific accommodations, such as sign-language interpretation or note-taking support, please contact Accessibility Services by January 4 so we can make arrangements.
