Principles and implementation of software-defined networking for agile infrastructure.
About this course
Software-defined networking (SDN) separates the control plane from the data plane, allowing administrators to manage network services through application software. This course covers the principles, architecture, and implementation of SDN technologies that form the backbone of modern agile infrastructure. You will explore how SDN enables centralized network management, automated provisioning, and dynamic traffic engineering.
Through a series of hands-on labs, you will configure open-source SDN controllers, design virtual network topologies, and implement policies for security and quality of service. The course assumes familiarity with cloud infrastructure and wireless network fundamentals.
