Core principles of network design, addressing, and routing for cloud administration.
About this course
NETW 1330 Network Architecture I introduces the fundamental concepts required to design, implement, and manage modern computer networks. This course is a core component of the Network & Cloud Administration program, providing the technical foundation for cloud infrastructure roles. You will explore the theoretical models that govern data communication and apply them to practical network environments.
Through a mix of lectures and hands-on labs, you will learn how to break down networks into manageable segments, assign IP addresses efficiently, and configure devices to direct traffic. The course also covers essential security practices to ensure network integrity. By the end of the term, you will be able to create a functional network design from the ground up.
