Program Description
Microscopic and chemical analysis of urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and other body secretions.
About this course
This course covers the principles and techniques used in the analysis of urine and other body fluids. You will learn to identify chemical and microscopic elements in urine, including cells, casts, crystals, and bacteria. The curriculum also includes the analysis of cerebrospinal fluid, semen, and other secretions to support clinical diagnosis.
Using both automated analysers and manual microscopy, you will practice quality control and assurance methods. The course prepares you to produce accurate results that physicians rely on for patient care.
