Program Description
Explores hydraulic system components, circuit design, and troubleshooting for heavy machinery.
About this course
Heavy equipment relies on hydraulic power to lift, move, and control loads. This course covers the fundamentals of fluid power, focusing on the components, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques used in modern machinery. You will learn how hydraulic systems work, how to read schematics, and how to diagnose common faults safely.
Work in the Tamarack Building shops to practice component identification, pressure testing, and safe disassembly. You will build simple circuits and troubleshoot simulated faults to prepare for field work.
