Strategic tax planning for corporations, trusts, and estates with focus on deferral and minimization.
Course overview
FINA 3150 Advanced Tax Planning moves beyond basic compliance to explore strategic tax planning for complex entities. You will learn how to minimize tax liability for corporations, trusts, and estates through legal deferral strategies and income splitting techniques. The course covers the tax implications of corporate reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as advanced estate planning tools.
Practical case studies form the core of the curriculum. You will work through real-world scenarios that require you to design tax-efficient structures for high-net-worth individuals and businesses.
