Methods for collecting air, soil, and water samples with strict quality assurance protocols.
About this course
Environmental sampling is the foundation of reliable environmental data. In this course, you learn how to collect air, soil, and water samples using standardised methods that ensure the results are defensible in regulatory or legal contexts. You practice field techniques, chain-of-custody procedures, and quality assurance protocols that protect sample integrity from collection to laboratory analysis.
The course is delivered in the labs at the Benchlands Campus. You work with industry-standard sampling equipment, calibrate instruments, and follow strict safety procedures. The curriculum aligns with the requirements of the program's accrediting body and provincial environmental guidelines.
