Program Description
Study of robot motion, coordinate systems, and kinematic modeling for manipulator design.
About this course
ELNX 5300 Robotics Kinematics covers the mathematics and geometry behind robot movement. You will learn how to describe where a robot arm is and how it moves through space. The course focuses on coordinate systems, transformation matrices, and the equations that link joint angles to the position of the tool at the end of the arm.
You will practice deriving the equations that control robot motion. This knowledge is essential for designing automated systems that need precise and repeatable movements. You will use simulation tools to test your models before applying them to physical hardware.
