Collaborative methods for designing and constructing complex architectural projects.
About this course
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) represents a shift from traditional siloed project management to a collaborative, multi-party approach. This course explores the methods, tools, and contractual frameworks that enable architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to work together from the earliest stages of a project. You will examine how shared risk and reward structures align team incentives and improve project outcomes.
Through case studies and simulations, you will practice facilitating early stakeholder engagement, establishing shared project goals, and leveraging common data environments (CDEs) for real-time information exchange. The course also covers the legal and ethical considerations unique to IPD, including multi-party agreements and integrated liability models.
