Development of detailed construction drawings for complex building assemblies and joints.
Course overview
In this course, you move from general building systems to the specific connections that make them work. You will develop detailed construction drawings for complex building assemblies and joints, focusing on how different materials meet and interact. The course covers wall intersections, roof connections, and foundation details, ensuring that your drawings meet both structural and environmental standards.
You will learn to resolve conflicts between structural, mechanical, and envelope components in a single drawing. Using digital modelling tools, you will create three-dimensional views to help plan how these parts fit together on site. The goal is to produce clear, buildable details that protect the building and meet code requirements.
